Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors is seriously stepping up its game in the SUV market here in India, and it’s pretty exciting to see! They’re really pushing hard on electric vehicles (EVs), but they haven’t forgotten about updating their regular petrol and diesel models either. The next few years are going to be packed with some awesome new launches from this homegrown brand. So, let’s take a look at 5 upcoming Tata SUVs that are definitely going to turn heads in India:

1. The Tata Harrier EV

The electric version of the super popular Harrier, the Tata Harrier EV, actually just launched on June 3, 2025. This is a huge leap for Tata’s EV plans, using their special OmegaArc platform (which they’ve tweaked for electric power) and packing some seriously impressive features.

It’s available with either a 65 kWh or a 75 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack, giving it a range of up to a fantastic 627 km (ARAI certified!). You can even choose between a rear-wheel drive (RWD) option or an all-wheel drive (AWD) with dual motors. Tech-wise, it’s loaded with Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and it even scored a full 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP for safety.

Expected Price: Kicking off from around ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

2. The Tata Sierra EV (and Petrol/Diesel too!)

The legendary Sierra name is making a grand comeback! First, we’ll see the electric version, and then a petrol/diesel one. The Tata Sierra EV is easily one of the most talked-about upcoming launches, bringing a cool, modern twist to its classic, boxy look.

The concept version of the Sierra EV shows off huge glass areas, that distinct shape we all remember, and a really modern interior with two digital screens. We’re expecting it to come in both a five-seater version and even a fancier four-seater lounge option. Plus, it should have a panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, and ADAS.

Expected Launch: The Sierra EV is looking like a late 2025 arrival, with the petrol/diesel version coming in early 2026.

Expected Price: Probably starting from about ₹19.00 lakh (ex-showroom) for the EV.

3. The Tata Curvv EV (and Petrol/Diesel too!)

The Tata Curvv is a really interesting one – it’s a coupe-SUV, which means it mixes the practicality of an SUV with the sleek, stylish lines of a coupe. Tata Motors is doing something smart here by launching the electric version first, and then the petrol/diesel models later.

The Curvv is built on the same platform as the Nexon, but it’s got a longer wheelbase and that distinctive coupe-like roofline. Inside, you can expect a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a cool two-spoke steering wheel, and a layered dashboard. The engines and motors for both the EV and petrol/diesel versions will likely be shared with the Nexon, though the Curvv might get slightly different power outputs because it’s a bit bigger.

Expected Launch: The Curvv EV was actually expected to launch sometime between July and September 2024, with the petrol/diesel version to follow.

Expected Price: We don’t have exact prices yet, but it’ll probably sit above the Nexon.

4. The Tata Punch Facelift

The incredibly popular micro-SUV, the Tata Punch, is getting a pretty big update mid-life. The Tata Punch Facelift will refresh its looks and add more features, which should make it even more appealing to a wider range of buyers.

Expect to see some visual tweaks inspired by the existing Punch EV, like a redesigned front end, a new grille, and sleeker LED daytime running lights. Inside, the cabin will likely get a refresh too, with a bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new two-spoke digital steering wheel, and maybe even some more premium materials. Both the petrol and electric versions should keep their current engine/motor setups.

Expected Launch: Looking like September-October 2025.

Expected Price: Around ₹6.25 – ₹10.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

5. The Tata Safari EV

Following the Harrier EV, Tata Motors is also hard at work on an electric version of its flagship SUV, the Safari. The Tata Safari EV will be perfect for those who want a larger, roomier electric SUV that’s also pretty capable.

While we don’t have all the specific details yet, the Safari EV is expected to share its core electric powertrain and battery tech with the Harrier EV. It might even get bigger battery options to handle its size and weight. It’ll definitely keep the Safari’s commanding presence on the road, its spacious interior, and all its great features, probably with some added electric-specific functions too.

Expected Launch: Expected in August 2025.

Expected Price: Probably in the ₹26.00 – ₹30.00 lakh (ex-showroom) range.

These upcoming SUVs really show just how serious Tata Motors is about strengthening its position in the Indian SUV market, especially when it comes to leading the charge in electric vehicles. Each one offers something unique, from small city-friendly options to premium, full-size electric SUVs, aiming to meet all sorts of customer needs. Which one are you most excited to see hit the roads?
